This post contains extremely sensitive and graphic images, viewers discretion is advised.

Usually I tend to be patriotic with my posts when my nationality is involved, Usually I'm a hopeful being towards the thought the Green & White flag would step out of the primitive shadows and barbaric act of jungle justice, well I did say usually, not always.

Today I would shine a light on a heinous and ugly occurrence called "Jungle Justice ", What is Jungle justice, well let me paint it like this, its a swift brutal sentencing and punishment without any form of legality carried out by ordinary citizens, once an individual or a group of individuals get caught stealing or are accused of a range of crimes they are savagely beating (with sticks, chains, broken bottles, knives) before being doused with gasoline/fuel and set ablaze with vehicle tires, they are burnt alive in public or just beaten to death or near death surrounded by spectators who video and cheer, 95% of the time the perpetrators of these acts of savage murder are never brought to justice and 90% of the time those facing such punishment never make it out alive

Sometimes i wonder if human rights organizations are aware and relaxed, not doing enough or are too weak to be taken serious by the powers that be in Nigerian governing and security affairs? Maybe, but blaming those who even try to put an end to it isn't going to solve much, I don't think so.

A lot of viral videos are available online to horrify you beyond belief, just in case you'd like to see graphically what I'm talking about

So what could be the root cause? First of all I personally would blame it on ignorance followed by poverty & unemployment, as the saying goes "idle hands are the devils workshop", hooligans and barbaric minded individuals liter the streets totally jobless, angry, hungry and frustrated, a toxic mix. Once the levy breaks and desperation gets the better of anyone who resorts to stealing to quench that hunger, such actions become the next activity so much so that it turns to a way of life, but its an "all day for the thief one day for the owner" World and judgement day comes fast thus We have cases of people beaten to death and burnt alive for petty theft or serious armed robbery rather than being handed to the relevant authorities and following due procedure.

Welcome to the jungle...So I'm using this post to create awareness and spark the necessary reactions needed to awaken the humanity in us all once again, its a just cause, saving lives, hopefully some NGOs or concerned individuals can consider looking into this threat to life. Thank you.
