HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY
When humans express an emotion about this country we call "America" I wonder what they mean. Are they referring to the land? Probably not. The land mass didn't overthrow their government. Maybe they are talking about the people. The "Americans." Through our collective ignorance and stupor our "supposed" government and its policies pretty much fucked up the planet. (Of course they are blaming that on we the people now.)
Can that responsibility be laid on the shoulders of a population that wasn't alive yet when that stuff went down.
The sins of the (founding) fathers, as it were.
Your humble vagabond is a believer in karma, in cycles, and the very real idea of payback.
The image of Kramer (from Seinfeld) taking karate lessons, and "beating up" the little kids in his class comes to mind. They, the kids, catch Kramer in an alley and exact their vengence.
Their are few countries on the planet that the US government hasn't "intervened" in, while (some of) its citizens enjoy a good life, by global standards. Our standard of living is largely taken for granted, because we litterally don't know any better, and certainly we know no worse, (living conditions-wise.)
Anyway... 248 years. Whatcha gonna do? Gotta stay living. So you do what you gotta do to achieve that. Feeling bad for others doesn't help them. Or you. We cannnot un-bomb a country out of the stone age that they were bombed into with the dough the G stole from us. And there's no use protesting about it because they'll just put you in the pokey, with the tacit approval of your fellow citizens (more like subjects these days) because the "news" told them you were a racist right wing domestic terrorist. And the people nod and go back to their scrolling looking for the next post to be offended by.
