Does a child of the non-preferred gender have a right to life?

Does a child of the unwanted biological sex have the right to a life and treatment if he were not born "by accident" exactly as he is?

This is a very important question that we will try to analyze in two ways.

I - the baseless phenomenon that people want men more

In Serbia and throughout the Balkans, we have the phenomenon that baby boys are more valuable in family and society. It is believed that the surname of the sons and the heirs of the inheritance, and the sons are the pride of the family. All these concepts stem from the deep-rooted patriarchy that continues even today.

When a girl is born, the baby encounters inappropriate expressions such as "blessing":

"Come on, find a brother next year!"

"Here's some money to buy a sibling!"

"Mom and dad, give you a brother for your birthday!"

"Good luck, so I wish you a baby boy next year" (for my mom).

When a boy is born, people say other things like this:

very happy enthusiasm: "This is a boy!"

"My father's first child has arrived"

"A son heir is born"

"First and a man!"

I think it's clear from these statements how many people want to have a boy. It is clear that a boy is more appreciated. Such phenomena and examples show how little a woman is valued in the family and society, from her birth and throughout her life.

If the second child is also a woman, parents usually want a third pregnancy in hopes of having a son. I know some families who decided to have a fourth or fifth child to have a son.

I think it's clear from these statements how many people want to have a boy. It is clear that a boy is more appreciated.

Such phenomena and examples show how little a woman is valued in the family and society, from her birth and throughout her life.

This is not only due to the personal beliefs society instills in them, but also from the pressure of society.

Why is a girl less valuable?

Until when will a woman see less value in family and society?

Does this happen in your country?

Do you value both baby boys and girls?

This sad story is also true in the opposite case when parents want a girl at all costs. Either way, it's equally tragic.

It's not a fundamental problem with wishes. Every person has the right to ask for a child of a certain gender and gender. This is natural and completely normal.

The problem arises when the person cannot accept that all wishes are not fulfilled and that some things should be accepted even if they are not in line with the plan. Children are wonderful beings and completely innocent.
