You know I wonder about this myself. I understand the process but it does not sit well with me that it is stored. States that keep it indefinably really make me wonder why.

Plus they claim that they own the DNA that is contained in the blood sample (i.e. Your's, your babies and anyone else's who has been born in the past few decades).
