WHAT MAKES US HUMAN?

in humans •  7 years ago

In order to know what is specifically human, we try to compare ourselves with our closest relatives, primates. This is not intended to demonstrate that animals are different from men - that's obvious - but to show what they are. What makes us human is the ability to loosen the bonds of gene dictation. It is a sure answer that offers us both the knowledge of Human Biology and the knowledge of the brain and the mind that we have today thanks to the spectacular advances of the so-called Neurosciences. I admit at first, that I have a special weakness for some animals; Specifically by chimpanzees. It's nice to know how your brain works. They are very well made and behave well; Do not puzzle. I do not mean that we know ourselves by looking at them. On the contrary, precisely because I am experiencing myself, and I know other people, looking at them, seeing how their brains work, makes it easier not to avoid the mystery of man. Grab it and do not let me escape. This comparison is one of the few that are not hateful. In each of us there is something mysterious, beyond the very mystery of life, which never appears in them. In each of the men, the first level, is the biological. And in each of us, that basic level merges with that other that makes our life our biography: an autobiography. It makes each one have their personal history, their past, and with our past and our roots, we are able to project the future from the present. That other can be called in many ways. I will refer to it as the plus of each. A plus of reality, yours, that makes you different from any other, even if that other is your twin brother; Although he has, and has had, the very education and environment.

This release makes the human body. The brain that sculpts each one and forges with its life, registers the innate and records what gives it the culture, the education, the ~~loves, the friendships, the relations with the others and the own decisions. A brain of its own but not just that. If so, we would be prisoners of history. I would say, if it were so, that if someone spoils his life he would have no way out. He would be locked in the past, determined by him in the present and in the future. A confinement like that of the animal and also responsible for it. What emerges from each one's mind belongs to each one, but it is not blind instinct that binds me in determining conduct from now on.
