Let’s Get Real

In the YAPcoin project we believe in our hearts that cryptocurrency will change the world. However today, the cryptocurrency market is frankly a shit show. There are ICOs, and new coins everyday. Most of which have no innovative or redeeming technologies.

Boys girls, and others, this coin is another one of those coins. YAPcoin was created from the fork of the cryptonote project. So, in essence it is the exact same thing. Just rebranded with our YAPcoin label.

We just wanted to create a new coin to see what could be done. Currently we don’t have any plans to enhance the technology, or be ground breaking. Hell, we figured if DOGE can go for two years without having an update, and be worth a billion dollars. Maybe in a couple years our coin might be worth a buck.

Why YAPcoin?

YAPcoin is yet another privacy coin. I really decided to create this, because I was sick of coming across a thousand different coins that I missed out on early mining. Even mining coins that have only been around for a month can sometimes be an issue. It’s for this reason that YAPcoin was created.

It gives a chance for people to hop into mining a new coin, and not having to deal with getting fractions of a cent. There will be no pre-mining of the coin, or an ICO or any of that shit. I’m working on the github fork. Then I’m gonna put that shit up, and see if it works.

Community Involvement

This is where I am going to get real for a second. If they community wants to get involved, and head the development for YAPcoin I’m all for it. If we get a good community of developers. I will be more than happy to hand over the reigns, and let them develop for the project.

I seriously doubt that anyone is going to do this, but if you want to, go for it.

Timelines?

I don’t have shit for timelines. I do have a good amount of things that need to be done to get this shitshow on the road.

Technical Specifications

Most of the technical specifications are included in the cryptonote whitepaper. So, if you need details on implementations you can find it there. I followed all the standard steps on the website for how to set up a cryptocurrency.
