Personal Stuff
Today has been a day of rest for me. I've had a busy week, connecting with people on Steemit. At the end of it, I probably needed to step away and refresh, because sometimes I can't see the forest for the trees. I feel better now. I haven't posted a lot of articles in the past, but I'm going to change that in the future. Starting with a summary of my curation duties.
On Commentating and Steem-Trail Curation.
I participate in other peoples post by way of commentary. Many that I communicate with are people new to the platform and just finding their feet. I spend time reading new articles from new members, and helping them get a good start through advice and general orientation.
Helping people is probably my favorite pastime. As I have acquired more knowledge of how the platform works. It becomes important to me to share with others when I can. One way I've been able to assist people with getting started, is through being involved with the Steem-trail project.
Humor Curation.
I have taken on the role of curator for the #humor-trail at Steem-Trail. My day consists of scouring Steemit for the best in humor. I have tried to set the bar high from the start with the choices I've made, to encourage people to improve their quality to match the best.
My Humor Curation Favorites.
@mynameisbrian
Has been the standout this last two weeks, in the humor section. He has created some of the funniest posts on Steemit related subjects. His artwork is flawless and draws from a pool of well known characters. It is hard when someone consistently does good work, because awarding them a 'top pick' every day, every post, begins to make it meaningless. All of his stuff is good though and thankfully he is recognized for it too.
- Steemit Cage Match. Ned vs Berniesanders.
- Steemit New User Acquistion Breakdown.
- Today I Learned. A Comic.
@nonameslefttouse
Is a personal favorite of mine. His humor can be overt, but is often obtuse, in the sense that it is not comprehensible by all people. His character is self deprecating. His artwork unpretentious. I enjoy his originality of thought, sharp wit and his commitment to his craft. Some personal favorites of mine are listed below.
- Do You Ever Have That Dream.
- Hunters Which One Are You And How Can Ernest Help.
- A Victory Speech By A Man Who Never Makes Mistakes.
@schattenjaeger
Is another standout for me in the humor section. I haven't gone back through his whole history of posting to see how often he has posted humorous articles, but the satirical stuff he has decided to post of late has been excellent, and he is developing and expanding upon his craft daily.
- Local Steemit Poster Flags Everyone. Shocked To Receive Flag.
- If I Bring You Breakfast In Bed.
- Local Steemit Poster Shocked To Hear His Content Sucks.
@lordvader
No mention of humor on Steemit would be complete without mentioning Lord Vader. He has become somewhat of a celebrity and his ability to remain in character in all interactions with his fans speaks to the creative wealth of the author.
- I Am Lord Vader. Ask Me Anything.
- Shuttle Theives Identified. Destroy Them.
- This Donkeypong Really Seems Excited About A Roadmap.
Curation Not Related To Humor.
Along the way I see many other posts, for which I copy and paste the links in the various categories that Steem-trail uses. If those curation categories are not being actively curated. I take responsibility again, for moving those to our channel-approved section, where Rick gives the final approval for Steem-trail to vote as a guild upon the selected articles. The votes that come from Steem-trail help to reward quality content and encourage growth in various content categories.
To Conclude (with a fractal).
I don't want to bore you too much with my stuff, so I guess I'll cut it short here.
I'll leave you with my fractal fascinator, which I use because it's not encumbered by copyright, while simultaneously attracting the readers eye to novelty. I'm going to make it a habit of posting a video at the end of each of my posts, because I watch more YouTube than I would ever watch television and I'd like to share that with you too.
I leave you with Donna Summer - I Remember Yesterday, my video pick for this post. Why? Because disco.....
Hey @seablue. Huge thanks for the mention!
Super glad that you are enjoying my comics.

This is a great thing you did here. You've picked some truly unique individuals... but who the hell is @nonameslefttouse? What kind of name is that anyway? Pffff. Probably couldn't think of one, or something. The other three are pretty funny though. That one guy who hasn't taken off his costume since Halloween '88 cracks me up.

There are quite a few people I didn't include who have good stuff too. The authors I did include had a high output of posts in the time period I was looking at.
It's the largest post I've composed yet and probably my most constructive.

We all do. That's why I appreciate you writing something like that about me, as well as the others here. Thank you.
