GOD Designed Dachshunds with short legs...to get their mouths closer to the food! They just explained this to my rescued Yorkie/ chihuahua; by eating all the treats before he could get down there. But I saved a treat back for him, because I know this too! :)
That, and the word "Dachshund", in German translates to; "Little pain in the Ass".
When you have Dachshunds, you learn these things! ROFLOL!

I just had a two month old Corgi laying waste to my lap, LOL! My son came by for Fathers Day, and brought the new grand puppy.
My lap was already full, so I had to dump them.
