Are we properly communicating our message? I want "Fly At Tea" Time

in humor •  7 years ago  (edited)

It's late, and the youngest hops out of bed and wants to go potty. No problem! I am ready for all of the kids to be out of diapers.

I am standing there waiting for business to be done, and then little one looks up at me and says, "I want fly at tea time!"

Puzzled, I ask back, "You want fly at tea time?"

"Yes!" (just imagine the lisp)

I keep standing there. Not catching on. Then little one motions for me to get out of the bathroom.

Oh! Privacy Time.

The Steemit Application

How many times have I thought I communicated clearly with my Steemit followers, but the message was not conveyed properly?

That's on me. I cannot blame my audience. As a communicator I am responsible for making sure that the content and intent of the content are conveyed properly.

Fellow Steemians, let's keep working hard to improve our craft so that we can avoid these types of misunderstandings. We all make mistakes, that is just a part of life.

But let us strive for excellence, both individually and collectively.
