Special counsel Robert Hur, who was appointed as US attorney by Donald Trump, will not charge President Biden for his handling of classified documents. He says he would not charge Biden even if the DOJ didn't have a policy of not charging sitting presidents.
He says he uncovered evidence that Biden willfully retained and disclosed classified materials as a private citizen. These disclosures were to a ghost writer. Unlike Trump, Hur says Biden cooperated with the investigation.
Cue the inevitable whataboutisms.
