HUSH Update Week 36
HUSH is a fork of Zcash. HUSH trusted setup follows the same setup provided by the Zcash team.
The total coin supply is 21,000,000 HUSH.
There was a 0.578% premine (121,475 HUSH)
• Community
HUSH is a project developed by and for the community, the HUSH team consists of 6 people right now and we are all Community Members.
Everyone can come up with ideas and suggestions, which happens a lot in our Slack Channel. We are a very sophisticated community where almost everyone contributes in one way or another.
• HUSH Messenger
A HUSH Messenger is being developed, which you can read about here: HUSH Messenger
This is a feature where you can send secure messages through your wallet, using the Zerocash Protocol.
• HUSH Counterparty
Our Lead Developer David Mercer found the solution to funding problems. A HUSH Counterparty where the HUSH spent in the initial sale of XHCP instead of being burnt will be in essence the ICO funding the development of the system.
You can read more about HUSH Counterparty here: Counterparty on HUSH
HUSH is still in a early phase, HUSH (originally branded as Zdash) was released November 2016 and David Mercer took over as Lead Developer in May 2017.
Since then HUSH has developed a lot and the team has expanded from 3 members to currently 6 members.
• SuperNet DEX
• XCAT - Cross Chain Atomic Transactions
You can read more about HUSH at our website MyHush.org or join our Slack Channel if you have any questions
• HUSH Block Explorer live on TOR Network (hushnodexptkgea3.onion)
• Submitted applications for several exchanges, with a few exchanges in target.
• HUSH Team's Platform for coordination and information has been upgraded and optimized.
We have moved our platform for coordination and information sharing within the team.
We will be able to post more regular updates and that's how the community will notice this change.
• Planning for a future marketing campaign.
A date for this is not set just yet but when it's time, we want the campaign to be ready.
• HUSH Testnet will be live soon.

To address common questions: The XHCP will be "gas" bought via HUSH and the HUSH will go towards developing HUSH and XHCP. Counteryparty coin XCP is not involved. Just the counterypatry opensource code is being used. Likewise for EVM. The XHCP will drive Ethereum-style smart contracts and other advanced features that are not available with HUSH alone. As the XHCP is a "gas" for spending, buyers may not expect it to increase in value which may enable it to fail the "Howey test" which says in part that there must be an expectation of profit in order to be considered an investment. For this and other reasons it is not like an ICO. It appears to me to be a kind of "virtuous cycle" to motivate devs to advance HUSH and XCP together rather than immediately cashing out for profits as is done in ICOs.

Hey @sparkit I am invested in hush as well and was wondering if you guys could a post a video of installing the hush wallet on linux. I use Manjaro which is an Arch distribution so the instructions were a little different. I have just been using the windows release which was a very straightforward process to get running it has worked perfectly.
If other exchanges pick up hush I bet it will go to the moon
