Whats up everyone. I wanted to show you these quick videos I recorded while on a deployment in eastern Africa! Over the course of 10 months I became familiar with a pack of adolescent Ethiopian hyenas. Occasionally I would bring them a hot meal! I was able to get some of my experiences on camera, and in one video a curious hyena runs off with my flashlight. Enjoy!

Almost every night while doing our routine checks, my squad would come across a hungry pack of hyenas. So what does any logical person do when presented with this situation? We jump in the bed of a pick up truck with some MRE's to open and throw! After about a week of playing MRE fetch, the young hyenas would come running as soon as they saw truck headlights hit the tree line. Eventually they became comfortable enough for me to get some cool videos.
