  1. Keep current with your software and virus protection.
  2. Create strong passwords.
  3. Ignore emails from senders you don't know.
  4. Use your pop-up blocker.
  5. Download files only from sites you know.
  6. Sign up for email/text "transaction alerts" from your bank to keep track of your purchases.
