Introducing The Madhatter

I am the owner and creator of Robin Strang The Madhatter. I market my hats alongside Kathy Moloney, although separate businesses together we are The TwoMadhatters. Originated in Longreach, we have travelled, worked and laughed together for over 20 years.. Our 'Bread and Butter ' line is fabric, sunsafe hand made hats with style and loaded with colour. We have lost count of how many made after the first 20,000. Our love of these will never wane as we continue to produce this popular line of hats, however a few years ago I have branched out into many other styles of headwear with diverse materials. This line of hat is about be renamed Robin Strang Exclusive as specially designed, unique and as individual as the wearer!!

The other side of hats is in the making and teaching others. I believe we all have creative within us, just need the space to let it out. I provide this in form of some zany and some not so crazy workshops. Sewing, creating, hands on workshops allow people to help the mind to unwind. Creating a situation for them to be mindful of nothing but the task at hand. We make headwear out of Bras and other recyclable materials, we recreate old pieces or sew a fabric hat. The workshops are a fun, powerful way to help people calm the mind, express themselves, talk or just sit quietly and do something out of their everyday lives.
Fun uplifting, quirky and different way to make sure Mental Wellness is top priority in our busy lives.
