Take Warren Buffet for example. He was the original hodler. His investments are actually more than often not the best option. Warren Buffet ain't that great, other than hodling his way to Whale position.

Back in the day he hodled his way past the traders, catching every surprise rocket ride; he didn't have to see them coming. He was away doing something else, living his life (he always believed in passive income and enjoying life). He just let the markets do their thing, and he would return in after many months or years. He then used his whale position to make safe bets which others followed potentiating the value of his investment.

In regards to cryptocurrencies Warren Buffet says "I can say almost with certainty that they will come to a bad ending"
And also "Why in the world should I take a long or short position in something I don't know anything about."
LOL he knows with almost certainty that something he doesn't know anything about will come to a bad ending. He has such a bad track record with investments, other than his whale position from early hodling before it was cool.
