This is the final part of my review of Friend Unifying Platform. This time we will zoom very important things for a project’s future like hype and roadmap. When the ICO is done, the real work for many teams just begins and based on above-mentioned aspect we can somehow predict their future. I wrote “somehow” on purpose, cause the crypto world is full of surprises, and you never know who will take cash out and fly to the Maldives.
Just a small reminder: if you want to explore another aspect of Friend Unifying Platform like a general description or working model check the link below:

HYPE
Visibly doing the PR is not the strongest side of this Friend team. They received just 3.0 points on ICO Bench (including 2.6 points from Benchy Bot), what is a very sad result. Although the Friend website is very informative, it is too messy for a bot who just got lost in different heads and topics.
Nevertheless, Friend Platform team attracted a very strong community around the project. Just to give you an example: 34 354 users joined FriendUP telegram channel. They have 3 612 followers on Twitter and 1231 people observe their Facebook channel. Which is a result higher then middle (at least if we talk about the Telegram.)
Friend also attracted some interest from the crypto orientated media:
ROADMAP
This is the Friend Unifying Platform roadmap. I am not kidding you. These guys will have very busy months, years ahead. Let’s zoom some highlights. In the second half of 2018 first token transactions will be made as well as Friend will introduce first token based accounts. Next quarter also a new interface will be introduced. By the end of 2018 first real token transactions are planned as well as youtube integration and simple speech recognition system. At the beginning of 2019 things like Friend Store launch, Fiat exchange initial operations and integration with Vimeo are planned.
Roadmap finished in 2024, so if you want to check next years I recommend this link:
I haven’t mentioned before, and you will not find this information in this roadmap, but the Friend Platform history started 3 years ago. From that time the team works on product development.
PROs and CONs
Let’s start from the bright sides:
PROs
- High quality, ready to use, unique product
- Real venture standing behind the project
- Strong team (130 years in programming)
- Big community
- Tokens buy-back program
And now is the time for things to work on:
CONs
- Cerebral website and PR materials. It is very easy to get lost in all technical details. Especially if you are looking for some ICO information. Couple infographics is more than welcome.
- Very high soft and hard cap (even 25 000 ETH – minimal amount for Friend with the actual market situation looks like a miracle)
- Expenses structure. Just from 5 to 8% will be spent on marketing and from 44 to 65% on the team.
