Undoubtedly science is a key to the human development. But with the amount of the knowledge increasing, decrease the possibility to handle all this information. Meet the Aiur project – which aims to work on knowledge distribution.
Auir is a project launched by the Iris.ai, an international startup founded at NASA Ames Research Park in summer 2015. Since its beginning, IRIS was working as a semi-automated literature reviewer. Within the need for the functionality extension, the idea of AIUR project was born. To the tools available today, IRIS wants to add: machine hypothesis extraction and hypothesis validation – so-called “Knowledge Validation Engine”: which allows to check the paper up against already existing knowledge. This can immediately uncover underlying false assumptions, circular dependencies, conflicting results and other reasons why a paper might not be reproducible before substantial time is spent on it.
Already built literature reviewer with hypothesis validator will create an interdisciplinary AI researcher.
Market situation
Nowadays science is facing some serious problems like:
• Information overload – this amount of the information is impossible to handle by the singular human brain.
• Access barriers – the access to the quality researchers is limited due to the high price and not only.
• Poor reproducibility
• Built-in biases
• Misaligned incentives – scientist are pressed to have a positive result
These problems are especially painful for the scientific research, students, scientists, professors and many others do. AIUR besides, the AI researcher endorse the “Open access research” so, the grassroots movement for knowledge democratization. As well as more promote the science itself, rewards will be given to all scientists despite the results they achieve.
