In this 5th edition of Badman ICOs, Id like to cover an upcoming project with a bit of a different swing on its implementation of blockchain technology. A lot of projects in the space at the minute are doing similar things; real estate, decentralized exchanges and financed based applications are very common in 2018 and seeing a unique idea is actually quite refreshing. This upcoming ICO is Asura Coin (ASA).

Asura World

Asura World aims to be the worlds first community-driven, blockchain based E-Sports ecosystem utilizing the platform's own Asura Coin to self-regulate and reward its users. Although there are other Gaming based blockchain platforms in development, None of them goes anywhere near as far as Asura to provide a complete competitive gaming experience enhanced by the blockchain.

From a philosophical point of view, the platform aims to solve the problems of segregation and toxicity that is apparent within the E-Sports community, giving players a place to interact with each other and rewarding them with Asura Coin as an incentive to boost positive community interactions. On the technology side of things, the platform is split into four main areas designated "The 4 Pillars of Asura World" and are each almost their own platform within the Asura World ecosystem. This is where Asura World stands apart from the competition.

Community Hub

The community hub will essentially be the dashboard of the platform that will feature news, discussion, video content and other interactive material with the aim of being a social area for players to relax in. This ties in with the philosophical ethos of the platform and provides a convenient link to the other aspects.

E-Sports Betting

The betting platform looks at ways to gain an edge over the current E-Sports betting market by not only integrating a wagering system but also by improving upon it using the many advantages that a blockchain system can provide. The betting rules are handled entirely by smart contracts and are decided upon by the community, creating a trustless system that empowers the user. Assets automatically become the property of their rightful owners upon execution of the smart contract with no middleman involved and due to the immutability inherent in blockchain systems, the betting system is completely fair and tamper proof. The system will constantly run analytics and statistical analysis to constantly improve upon itself.

Professional Community Mentoring

The community mentoring aspect builds upon the inclusion mentality of the platform and provides an area where players can focus on self-betterment and improvement. High ranked players can provide professional video guides and tutorials for other players to improve upon each and every aspect of their gameplay including psychology, decision making and situational item builds. This will provide a great opportunity to utilise the ASA coin (E-Sports players are competitive by nature and will actively pursue avenues to improve their game to get an edge on their peers) while also rewarding users with the knowledge and skill to develop these educational materials.

Matchmaking & Tournament Play

No E-Sports platform would be complete without matchmaking and tournament play. Although similar, matchmaking and tournament aspects are actually separate entities and the Asura platform will treat them as such. Community matchmaking provides an avenue for players to stake Asure Coins and compete against other players and profit from their competitive ability. The platform will feature algorithms to ensure players are matched by their ability profiles to ensure a fun and fair competitive challenge.

The tournament entity will focus on small-scale amateur tournaments to fill the void left below the professional major tournaments that are currently held. Asura World will provide the means for anybody to set up a small scale tournament in a professional manner that they can either share with their friends locally or feature across the whole player base. This gives another avenue for utilisation of the ASA Coin with a buy-in and payout schedule determined by the tournament host.

All areas of the Asura platform will be streamable including matchmaking and tournament play, with the betting system utilising the live stream for users to place their bets. Although the Asura platform will not be developing its own streaming platform, live streaming will be available and handled by twitch. Twitch already holds a monopoly on the game streaming market and it would be a waste of time and resources to go into direct competition with them. This leaves the door open for possible partnerships in the future and ensures the team will be focusing on whats really important; developing the main heart of the E-Sports ecosystem.
