From what I've been hearing on YouTube, John McAfee will whore his name out to any coin that pays him enough.

Also, doesn't he have a d*ck sandwich coming due in about 1 year, 10 months?

If you notice few past ICO, 1 thing is very common and that is Hype
The more hype an ICO is getting, the more chances it has of gaining value. This crypto market is currently manipulated so much and we have to follow the whales if we are not whales.

Is it worth trusting anything built on an ERC20 Token? Especially with Ethereum’s lead developer just resigned over serious legal concerns?

This all depends on you how you are diversifying your investments in crypto market. I am keeping only 10% of my investment for ICO's. As far as ERC20 Tokens, my experience has been good so far and I am putting some money in Knowledge ICO.

10% allocation is smart from a portfolio management perspective. I don’t have enough knowledge to invest in ICOs, but I would like to get there at some point. I’ve only been in crypto sense December and that has been just here on Steemit! :-)

You will get there with few more months in crypto space. I started crypto last April and made good profits. I am only allocating 10% from my profits to ICO's. This is pure risk free investment.

This one is getting good visibility and hype. John Mcafee is also involved so this is a good one to get some quick profits as well as long term investment.

i like the ico concept in general because it is great way to fund new projects and investors stand to make a lot of money when the project is good but this token price is very high for an ico
