This article will be devoted not only to blocking and crypto currencies, but to a greater extent the issue of information and network security. Being a specialist in virus attacks, and having worked for several years in a company dealing with antivirus products - I know firsthand who the hackers are, what Trojans are, and how the cycle works:
(1) the appearance of an exploit * ->
(2) exploit in honey pot ** ->
(3) the work of the anti-virus vendor (study, development of the solution) ->
(4) updating of anti-virus signatures for clients.
Exploit is a malicious program code aimed at exploiting / exploiting a certain vulnerability, most often buffer overflow or password selection, in software code, operating systems or network services.
** Honey pot - a kind of bait on the network, usually placed by antivirus vendors in order to provoke a hacker or malicious software to attack to get information about malicious code and develop, in turn, a protective code - antivirus signatures.
Unfortunately, if the exploit is used selectively, and does not fall into the honey pot - then the probability of protecting from it most machines is greatly reduced. That is why, in the hacker environment, such exploits (they are called "0-day", that is, fresh, non-public, missing in antivirus databases) are valued literally for their weight by gold and sold for many thousands of dollars.
We can talk for a long time about hacker / virus threats and methods of combating them, the main thing for us to understand that this problem concerns everyone - both corporate users and private ones. The time comes when not only computers and smartphones, but also televisions, teapots and refrigerators are connected to the Internet, this is the "Internet of things" revolution (IoT). And with each such device we seem to create another door to our home for intruders.
The BitFence project offers its own concept of protection based on all modern technologies, including blockbuster, IoT and decentralization. If we talk about protecting the home Internet - then this is solved by one device - a special BitFence router. If we consider more complete, corporate systems - then each of them is under attack two-thirds of the time, and the solution for their protection is more complicated.
What is the concept of BitFence security?
Network members, ordinary users, run certain network nodes - honey pots - generated by BitFence. It can be even small computers on Raspberry, or special software StingMiner on the operating systems Windows, Mac, Linux. For the threats caught in the network, participants receive system tokens, thus earning, "mining", hence the name of the program.
In turn, the system processes the received malicious code into anti-virus signatures and delivers to customers who, as it is easy to guess, pay subscription also with system tokens.
BitFence System Operation Scheme
Team
The BitFence team indicated in the description of the project is very small, it's three people, and all of them are co-founders. Many more names are present as advisers / consultants / curators. The full list of participants is below.
- Abdul Khan, Co-Founder, an expert on cybersecurity.
- William Mason, Co-Founder, Chief Business Strategist.
- Vlad Tereshkov, Co-Founder, Inventor, Ph.D. sciences.
- Roger Freeman, Advisor for Bl. East and North. Africa.
- Shah Heikh, Senior Advisor on Cybersecurity.
- Mary Golson, Technical Consultant.
- Dann Thompson, Attracted Manager.
- Teresa Culver, Technical Consultant.
- Luis Parra, Technical Consultant.
- Jeffrey Gaines, Technical Consultant.
I want to note that on the benchmark ICOBENCH platform the team was evaluated by three experts on the highest level - 5 full points out of 5.
Movement and promotion ~
The success of many block projects depends on the level of support from the community, in this case this factor was no exception. After all, the more participants in the network, and accordingly, the more honeybots are placed, the higher the probability of successfully countering threats.
Today, the community can be estimated at 11-15 thousand participants, which is an average result.
According to the project road map, a minimum working prototype (MVP, BitFence Engine and StingMiner) is planned to be launched in the third quarter of this year.
Token
The maximum number of tokens with the HNY ticker recorded in the smart contract on the airborne detachment (ERC-20 protocol) is 1 billion, but the tokens will not be created immediately, but at the end of the sales period, depending on the success of sales. Thus, you do not have to first create and then burn the unsold tokens.
For sale is offered 50% of the maximum amount, that is 500 million HNY at the rate of 1 ether = 6000 HNY. You can pay for the purchase either by air, or by some alcohines, at the appropriate exchange rate relative to the air.
The remaining 500 million tokens will be distributed as follows: 200 million for "viral mining" to holders of honey pots, 150 million project team, 100 million will be spent on marketing and loyalty programs, 30 million will be allocated to curators and partners, and the remaining 20 million - on the bounty program.
Softkap already COLLECTED, from all stages of sales it is 2000 esters, hardcage is much higher - 65,000 ethers.
The minimum purchase is the equivalent of 0.1 ether, or 600 HNY tokens.
Sales will last until June 30, 2018 23-59 UTC.
