South Korea has decided to invest over $200 million into blockchain development. This comes from the Ministry of Science, Information and Communication Technologies of South Korea.
The deadlines set by the authorities are rather tight – the campaign is scheduled to finish by 2022 and prepare over 10 thousand professionals in the field to found 100 companies.
Starting next year the ministry plans to support the launch of six pilot blockchain projects in the following fields:
▪️ international digital document management;
▪️ marine logistics;
▪️ real estate;
▪️ online voting;
▪️ customs, etc.
Thus South Korea plans to increase its competitive potential in the blockchain industry.
