Smart Containers — revolution in logistics for pharmacy and food industry

Technologies that are related to the internet of things (IoT) are becoming a routine part of our lives. Companies, which produce hardware and software, slowly but surely promote their services on the market. One of the most important directions is a delivery of foodstuffs and meds in the special containers that provide the necessary microclimate.
Technological progress allows to set high-precision sensors to track the cargo location, temperature, moisture and other significant characteristics.
One of pioneers of this directions is a project Smart Containers, which developed a blockchain-system for the thermally-sensitive logistics. Now this company is conducting a token sale and planning to raise 21 million dollars of investment. More than a half was raised at the time of writing this material.
This project wasn’t born yesterday. It has been actively working for the past four years. Contracts of operation of major pharmaceutical companies were signed in this period. Three partner agreements of them were signed in the first quarter of 2018.

As a matter of fact, there are two organizations, working in parallel:

• SkyCell – containers for logistics in the field of pharmacy;
• Food Guardians – does the same, but for the food industry and farmers.

This organization is registered in Switzerland and the head office is in Crypro Valley – canton of Zug. Main office of Ethereum is also located there.
One may pertinently ask what exactly the investors’ money is being raised for? The developers claim that the money is being raised for the revolution in this field, scaling up the business and becoming global. It’s necessary to meet the international requirements to do so.

About tokens

We haven’t written this word in plural by chance, because there will be two coins. First one is Smarc, emitted in the number of 150 million. Scope of application – gaining the right for the slice of profits. Second one is LOGI – for the payment for internal services as a part of ecosystem, which is being created. There will be 100 million of them. Prices are $0,43 and $0,285 respectively.
Number of SMARC-tokens that will be on ICO will be 120 million and it’s required to raise up to $36 million from their selling. Plan is much simpler concerning LOGI-token – 20 million tokens and $4 million of fundraising.
The coins will be used to pay for the services like storage, insurance and payment for various fees. Partner services will be connected to do so.

About the perspectives and a little bit of conclusions

The developers got a brand new decision in their field by combining IoT, blockchain technologies, specialists’ experience and by getting more than a hundred of patents. Decentralization is what the marked was lacking and Smart Containers offered an effective way out.
There’s no problem with the investment inflow. The company attracted 25 million dollars from private investors without any troubles. Let’s face it – random people don’t establish the official representations in Zug. There is a very specific registration system there and the local government carefully verifies all the documents.
Soft Cap is already raised and token sale will most likely reach the upper limit as well. Choice of Ethereum-blockchain and ERC-20 standard is quite reasonable. The users will get the reliable system, which is based on smart-contracts. Obviously, it’s really unlikely that the start-up by businessmen from Switzerland, who already proved themselves, fails. The contracts are already signed and all further actions boil down to the globalization.
