winkPark: A working sharing economy app - first social network parking.

Imagine a world in which drivers help one another find parking spaces. Imagine one driver waiting for another to give up to him his parking space. Imagine that you no longer have to endure stress only because there are no available parking spaces down your street. All this is possible thanks to the winkPark app.

INTRODUCTION

winkPark is a working innovative map-based mobile app which uses gamification elements and relies on cooperation between users. In the app, registered drivers mark available parking spaces in streets or car parks. Before they depart, they add their position to inform the community that this parking space is soon going to be made available.

PARKING PROBLEM

Car parking is a major problem in urban areas in both developed and developing countries. Following the rapid incense of car ownership, many cities are suffering from lacking of car parking areas with imbalance between parking supply and demand which can be considered the initial reason for metropolis parking problems. This imbalance is partially due to ineffective land use planning and miscalculations of space requirements during first stages of planning. Shortage of parking space, high parking tariffs, and traffic congestion due to visitors in search for a parking place are only a few examples of everyday parking problems.

Over half of humankind, about 4.000 million people, lives nowadays in cities. On 2030 this figure will raise to 60%. Cities have a big mobility, energetic and pollution problem that lowers live quality.

A 35% travel during rush hours looking for free parking spots that are hard to find. That’s why parking is very important to regulate vehicle’s flow and reduce atmospheric pollution.

WINKPARK APP REVIEW

The app contains two principal functionalities:

1. Map search for available parking spaces, which have been marked by the winkPark community members (the current app’s beta version is available for a free download for the Android 6, or more recent systems, through the Google Play store).

2. Booking a place and ‘receiving’ it from another driver before he/she departs (the company currently works on a version for Apple iOS and for the Android Auto)

App’s functionalities as they are available at present:

1. Marking available parking spaces on the map
2. Notifying the community of one’s intention to release a space
3. Gamification elements:
   • Life Points
   • Experience Points
   • Visualization of other drivers who are driving towards a selected location
4. Social network elements:
   • Virtual “winking” at another driver
   • Virtual “high-fiving” with another driver
   • Likes
   • Following
5. Search of users and registered cars
6. Notifications

Drivers will use tokens (TalaRs) to:

• Charge fees for their waiting time till the other driver shows up.
• Make donations in return for assistance received when looking for a parking space.
• Drivers will be able to set their own waiting rates and transfer fees of their choosing between one another.

THE ICO WINKPARK DISTRIBUTION MODEL

Funds which will be raised from the sale of tokens through the Initial Coin Offering (ICO) campaign will be used to market, promotion and start a system of payments within the winkPark app. The pool reserved for the SPARKING company will be divided for the Team, Advisors, Bounty Program and Future Fund.

One half of the tokens’ pool (50%) is going to be made available for ICO investors. The other half will be divided into two parts, the bigger part (35%) will be sold directly through the application, and the smaller one (15%) will be turned into a reserve for the Sparking’s use. Tokens not sold during the ICO campaign will be moved to the overall pool of tokens and made available for purchases through the app.
