Project Summary:

  • Distributed CDN

    • Email

    • Chat

    • Box marketplace

    • Oracle nodes

    • Content streaming

  • Runs on NEO VM with Phantasma Relay via NEOX bridge

  • Content is stored on in house decentralized storage protocol PDFS
    (Phantasma Data Filesystem

    • Uses proof-of-retrievability where there must exist proof that
the content is retrievable; Done by 3 groups of people

    • Observer -- Fetch but does not store content

    • Prover -- Store content but does not proof the validity,
receives tokens for correct proofs. Reputation is lower than
      ecosystem average

    • Validator -- Stores contents and validate content of others,
receives tokens for those actions. Reputation is greater than
      ecosystem average

  • Smart Contracts

    • Will allow map-filter-reduce

    • Will allow encryption

    • Will allow large amounts of data as input

    • Will allow issuance of tokens

    • Adheres to NEOX protocol

    • Programming done like that of NEO smart contracts

Pros/Cons:

  • Pros:

    • Own chain, future compatible with NEOX platform

    • Medium to strong use case of blockchain technology (although
      still mainly for decentralization incentives)

    • Project is solid if development pushes through

  • Cons:

    • The implementation seems somewhat complex team could be
      overpromising

    • Long roadmap might affect token price in the short term (but
hey, Rome wasn't built in a day right?)

    • Advisory team doesn't seem immensely strong

General Thoughts:

This project is one of the more refreshing ones. The team seems to be
forward looking by planning their product to be forward compatible with
NEOX protocol. However, they have promised multiple implementations of
their blockchain some of which look complex. Worth a relook in both the
near term as well as in the future when their product is out (estimated
early 2019).
