Hello Steemit! For those who may have know me back in 2014, I worked(more so volunteered) as the Community Coordinator for Bitcoin Plus. During that time I was highly active in the Cryptocurrency ecosystem and always put in 110%. I had several teams reach out to me for my help and support, and always did my best to assist. Unfortunately, the Dev for XBC left our team high and dry, and I, openly discouraged and virtually pennyless, decided to step away. I've been away from Cryptos for some time now, to a fair amount of remorse. Life outside of Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain Technologies overtook me, and I stepped back and took time to work on family life and other ambitions. Knowing what I know now, I truly wish I could have stuck around longer, as I was fairly well known and the crypto world was bursting with oppurtunity. Life, however, just didn't have that in my cards.
While tending to life outside of the blockchain, my natural nerd tendencies and love for technology never left me. I've managed to come a long way in my personal ventures since I departed cryptos rather abruptly. Recently I put myself back into the loop, and needless to say, the Crypto world has been evolving on a massive level. It is incredible to see figures who were just coming up during my tenure in 2014, whom have gone above and beyond in making names for themselves and providing massive influence in the modern state of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
I left the world of cryptocurrencies shortly before Ethereum released their ICO. Surely, I could sit back and sulk at missed oppurtunities all day, but I would much rather voice my appreciation and support for how far everything has come. Ethereum has since provided one of, if arguably not the most influential blockchain platforms in recent technologies. Smart contracts and erc20 tokens have changed the way ICOs are done.. and consequently so has the SEC in recent months.
Every day massive oppurtunities are created with blockchain startups and expansion on existing technologies and ideas. (Hence coins such as Expanse) Expanse will soon be bringing their TokenLab platform to the public, which will allow cryptocurrency entrepeneurs to create and launch their own currency and ICOs with further expanded ideas and technology.
Now, here is where the title of my post starts to gain ground. During my away time from cryptocurrencies I've continued participating in a favorite past time of mine, that I've enjoyed since I was a child. After reviewing countless ICOs and blockchain technology that continue to come to fruition, I've made several important observations. What has struck my eye more than anything, is the sheer amounts of money flowing into a lot of these current ICO projects, many of which, have a road map that won't reach any form of considerable fruition for years to come. While many of these ICOs show promise and positive intergration with blockchain technologies, there remains a massive amount of scams and simply, nothing incredibly exciting anytime in the near future. With Chinese regulations and mainstream FUD, mainly pertaining to Bitcoin, spreading through the headlines like wildfire, there has seemingly been a bit of a fog on the perception from the outside world. Surely, there is still much to be excited about, and patience is still considered a virtue, as many of these projects legitimately need time for proper growth.. but what about the everyday person? Bitcoin continues looks more and more rocky from an outsiders perspective. Many contributing their negative view of Bitcoin to their lack of understanding when it comes to any and everything that blockchain technology implementatiom can and more than likely, eventually will, have on their everyday lives in the coming years.
I've thought long and hard, and I've come up with an idea that roots itself deeply in my passions. I will refer to this as Project Honor. Project Honor has the potential of changing mainstream views on the blockchain by pumping information and knowledge for cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies alike, to a wide range of an already available massive worldwide audience. No stake would be made by purchasing this coin, and it would not be considered a security as the coin itself would provide a platform for the fanbase to interact, with the ICO funds going towards funding to the actual company. Basically you could use this coin for merchandise, tickets, voting on events and performers, and interacting with your favorite stars. However no say or stake would be held in the actual company, protecting from SEC scrutiny. I've certainly skimmed over the reality of what Project Honor entails, as I don't want that to be fully revealed just yet. Currently, this may sound similar to some ideas floating around, but there is a very specific and fruitful reach that could be achieved here at a viral level, if properly executed.
Forgive me as it is late at night here, but I needed to take the first steps in reaching out in the right direction. What better platform to ask for proper guidance than the steemit community, and what would be more proper of a first post. I thoroughly enjoyed working with the community as a past representative of XBC, and marketinf still runs deeply in my veins, as well as a love for positivr community outreach. I would love to talk to anyone actively involved in the current affair of Cryptocurrency, and throw my entire idea at worthy minds. Ideas are nothing more than a passing thought, until put into action! Cheers
