This is timely. I was talking to a smart young dude i know today about not falling in love with your own ideas and arguments. This is a lesson I had to learn young as a smart, stubborn, argumentative person.
I had to learn that even my accurate insights are at best just closer to truth not The Truth™
I know this distinction may not seems obvious but it's a big deal to me and how I interact with others.
As my old friend used to say it's good to slam your ideas into the wall at 100 mph and see what shakes out.
