I'm on the Winning Side

I have seen people saying its impossible to implement and practice fundamental Islam nowadays and when something seems practically impossible we don't support it or its like running in the dark...
Is it about supporting the winning side rather than what's righteous and obligatory so we might be blessed by king of the time?
If that's only the motivation behind holding onto ideology, Sahaba RA should never have accepted Islam.
We should rather hold onto truth after its clear and know that "Allah's help is near" and we'll be rewarded for our efforts not results in Hereafter.
