While I wait

in idontfuckingknow •  5 years ago  (edited)

I finally gave up and figured, "Hey let's download DaVinci Resolve." Which coincided with, "Hey, let's post some shit." Turns out DaVinci Resolve is a 1.3gb download and will take some time. 50 minutes for 4 hours worth of time. That does not go well with my let's post some shit.

The only reason I guess is so I can get some sweet Steem. Probably. Why else use the bloody thing. Have to get something.

Why do I do anything? To get something. Mostly I am not what would be called social in the whole social networking thing, I am also not keen on the network part of it because that adds to the social part and in the end, it is a Greek orgy.

I have my moments, I will comment and even read some things. I guess it is an ebb and flow. Something that along the way for the time I have now been on Steem has caused some dissonance.

Because I am a greedy pig, I realise I need to post shit and then I can get some shit. Where these blog sites use to be very one-sided; as in I partake only when I wish and very sporadically at best.

Then I started posting here and realise that although I have fuck'ol to say I might as well say something. Somehow that seems the opposite of something familiar.

I tried to fake it, and still, do. In the above gif apart from wondering if I would ever use that shit I was also wondering what fake story, poem or maybe art I could make. What can I sell today?

One sided

Before I so rudely interrupted the previous paragraph with a new sub-title, I would maybe have wanted to continue yapping about the self-imposed chore of posting many of us do. To simplify things I do mean me, and if there is a "you" then... That is nice.

So fair enough, I have blabbered on about this many times and am yet to find something that works for me. A lot of what works for me is randomly making a lot of noise once in a while.

That is not so good for my greedy need to acquire more Steem. I will never touch the whales or other fish whose names I do not know or care about. Good thing I have very very low expectations.

Steem does suffer from a whole lot of me though, but not the me that just reads. No, the me that wants to milk what they can. Even calling it milking is completely unfair to people who do an honest days job milking cows. Gotta love the Amish.

That is social though, that is media and that is networking.

The original blog sites, personal websites etc. Their users just do it better. They are also selling something and it really is not much more different than here. It is just a lot more unified on here than out there.

Being able to post shit and have almost no criteria for it to be monetized makes it easy to rinse and repeat with no other concern. True, those on facebook do not go around promoting their trash, or one does not tell a stranger to read your tweet.

Those are not monetized by default. In time, nor will any of the posts like this one either.

Control Entities

I guess a big benefit everyone is looking forward to are the communities, groups that will tell you what is allowed and what is not. Nice niches where I can belong.

If you have not found a tag like that to litter your post with yet. Then you probably won't.

The nice thing about communities will be to see how many people get kicked out of them. The first hurdle is the current groups we all already have, some even have their own discords, I do not see those growing unless they bribe the users.

Communities are good due to the control they give over the content. This works quite well on Whaleshares already. They are not good when they are small and single-minded like many of the ones that already exist here on Steem.

Fucking hell man.

Just shut the fuck up you may be thinking, and true the last entire section lost the fucking plot. That could be because someone downstairs is making noise, like who the fuck moves shit around at midnight. Can't they hear the noise they are making? I have not heard screaming so will assume they are not rightfully getting murdered and are just cunts.

Anyhow, as I was not saying...

I came to survive this long ass jibby jabber before I open the NSFW post prior to this one. Anything other than a sex tape and I'll riot.

First, I had to find out what DaVinci Resolve is, lol. Does that colorize black and white films? Photos?

Your writings never gave me the impression that writing is a "chore" which, by your inference here, is something you should do but you don't want to do for whatever reason. (We know what it is haha.)

I grew up from 0 to age 15 living on a dairy farm, which was fairly big. We delivered milk, cottage cheese, eggs, and orange and grape drinks to as far as 30 some miles away. I milked cows. I can tell you that we milked our cows twice a day, in the early morning and the later afternoon.

We milked 7 cows at a time with milking machines. Had a LOT of cows.

We've talked about communities before, and I won't go into anymore detail than to say that I do value the one I'm part of, and the people that are part of it.

As far as using all of those tags, there are times when I very often can't think of just 5 to use, haha! I guess there is a reason for it, and I figure it's the prerogative of those who want to use many tags, but it just seems burdensome to me.

DaVinci Resolve is a free video editing software, I think more alike adobe premier pro and what I wanted to check out is something they call fusion which is possibly an alternative to using adobe after effects which is more for short special effects scenes.

I think even though I may not like something or find it to be a chore that once I do it I may as well attempt to do it thoroughly. Trying to write a story and not writing it the best way I can is that age-old adage of cheating yourself. Although I find it a chore it does not mean I have nothing to gain. Like work :)

Hard work those cows, and I think in some places people that do that get in a month than many do on a single post.

Yeah, I am not really concerned with the communities, I just don't think communities as they are right now are going to translate well. It is an opportunity to adapt and change. But alas so many nuances it is best to just wait and see as there really is nothing to lose.

Yeah, what I mainly meant with the tags is that many are tied to communities as we have now so if someone is not using those because of they are not part of any then chances are they will just keep going solo. Obviously now the only reason to use any tag apart from actual taxonomy is that you get something which will be a lot more prevalent in clearly defined communities.

I love your tags.
So !DERANGED

I look forward to being in no communities ;0)

Haha, you are a community :P Like Rambo or Chuck Norris. The rest of the herd need to congregate :)

Lol, I like it!

I saw Chuck Norris AND his son (Can't Remember the son's name but it isn't Chuck) in a commercial for that Power gym thing that Chuck has promoted for years. Anyway, Chuck's son looks pretty bad ass - he's bigger than Chuck and he's been taught martial arts ever since he could stand by the master himself.

I think he will out-Chuck Chuck very soon! :)
