$150K will be distributed among the winners of the iExec DApp Challenge which was announced in November 2017.
15 out of 37 submissions were chosen to take part in the funding. Here are my favorite submissions:
BirdieBlue
"Dapp for advanced sentiment prediction on crypto tweets." (aka predicting the future?)Cerebrum
"Cerebrum is a decentralized platform for crowdsourced machine learning. Like Kaggle and Numerai, Cerebrum leverages crowdsourcing and machine learning (ML) for solving big data problems and drawing insights from them." (aka democratizing the power of AI)Kidner
The Kidner Project aims to be a social business operating on, first, the French national level, and then on the international level. We are pairing human and tehnological properties of the project to help Kidney Paired-Exchange (KPE) Programs to find live-saving opportunities in an efficient and more rapid way. This requires a great deal of careful planning, communication, and involvement. (hopefully this saves lots of lifes)Proof-of-Work
A decentralized crypto-mining marketplace helping miners to increase their gains by reducing pool fees. (Mining ;))Troubadour
A data enhancement platform providing intuitive and accessible natural language processing (NLP) solutions, as a solution to the information overload problem that unstructured data causes. (this is a huge problem for everyone and in each company)
Additionally iExec team members submitted 3 Dapp ideas but they are not part of the $150K pool.
There is no information how the money is distributed e.g. if everyone gets the same amount of money. I'm not sure if $10K is sufficient for some of the projects but I hope everyone of them is completed.
This is not investment advice.
