iExec has 5 different major milestones in their roadmap and GPU-based applications were planned for v4 coming in 2020.

Today they announced the support of Blender as a Dapp in their Dapp store.

The early inclusion of GPU based Dapps is (as far as I understand) possible due to the usage of Docker.

You can create and run virtual environments for your Dapps via Docker allowing

  1. isolation of your Dapp and it's execution and
  2. access to OS resources (aka GPU)

The support of Docker is the bigger news in my opinion because it allows tons of new possibilities for iExec Dapps compared to other methods. I'm looking forward to hear about new Dapps and ideas.

This is not investment advice.
