If I were a dolphin
After recovering from a heartattack, I would have to do some math.
To be succesful, but most of all helpful, for a longer period of time you have to stay and behave like a dolphin as well. With power comes responsibility.
So after calculating what I need to do to keep the power to help others I would:
Support the good
I am a strong believer of emphasizing the positive, therefor I would
- Support people who already support people, like @steembasicincome, @dustsweeper to name a few. Delegate some power to them so they can do more good.
- Support people who help out others on a smaller more specific scale. For example people who host contests to help others improve their skills
Fight the bad
It is not good to give the bad any energy or attention but certain developments on the Steemit platform just have to be counterattacked. I would support people who do that already. I think it is better to support the ones already taking care of it, than to start new projects with the same goals.
Host some contest with nice prizes
Host a different contest every week with a substantial prize reward. Something everyone can participate in and has a fair chance to win.
Feature a Steemian each week
Put someone in the spotlight. Being a dolphin would lead to more followers, no doubt. It would be great to use that opportunity to give the floor to people who are working really hard to get their account to a good level. For many people there is a moment when they are ready to quit, just because no matter their hard work, they never seem to do as good as others. These people deserve to have their 15 seconds of fame on the Steemit platform. These people need to hear they are doing great and that others are not always playing by the rules.
This is silly I know but it's just something I find really cool
I'd also create a new account. A mystery account if you wish to call it that :)
With that account I'd like to reward people without them knowing who it came from. Like Santa Claus.
In the end
I will still be me, so I will continue posting the way I do now. Sharing some stories, but mostly pictures and photoshop creations. These will not change the world, but they make me happy and that should count for something too.
Thanks for hosting this contest @conradt
Nice goal ... and it does not sound silly at all to create a new mystery account ... If that's what makes you happy, then go for it!

Thanks, I have saved the list, just in case I wake up one morning finding someone credited my account with a large amount of Steem :)

These are all cool things for a dolphin! :D I hope you'll get there. And ah, yes, I love those mystery accounts on Steemit that are generous. They really DO feel like Santa Claus :D

It would be wonderful to make a regular day feel like a xmas day for someone.

Thanks, it would be great to find a way to keep everyone involved, not discouraged, or overwhelmed by what others (seem to) accomplish.

True, there should also be a sense of community. Once it forms here, people won't leave it. They will join Steemit for its great community not its rewarding system.
