The Virgin, originally Mary of Nazareth, in Galilee, by Christian belief, is the mother of Jesus Christ. At the time of Jesus' conception, she was a virgin married to Joseph from the house of David. According to the Christian tradition, the child was initiated through the Holy Spirit, and Mary remained a virgin after the birth.
I studied those icons in my art class, the original if i dont remember wrong is situated on st catherine of sinai chucrch and it was pictured inspiring by bizantine art, such wonderful icon.

I know that in the Monastery of St. Catherine is the oldest icon of Christ the Pantocrator, for this icon I do not know.I also have photos of the icon of Christ the Pantocrator, which my mom worked, I might publish them.
