While traveling through India and Nepal in 2010, I began to take up my pen just as often as (if not more than) my camera. It was a difficult, solo journey – undertaken on the heels of my divorce – a year of deep, soul-searching and reflection.

On a few occasions, I attempted to illustrate specific thoughts – emotional sentiments – brief epiphanies that I wanted to retain some sense of.

This was the first of those sketches, using black and red ballpoint pen.

Wow, just discovered your post here on steemit.-)) Your drawing is really exactly expressing how it is (to feel and the process) to have depression and sorrow, congratulation for this wonderful piece of art:-)) Very inspiring and reflexiv;-)

It's often difficult to describe depression in words – this was my attempt to do so, supported by imagery. I'm glad it speaks to you. <3

I think your immagery is eye-catching for this topic and this is so important to get this message out in the world, so love your imagery and just resteemed it;-)
