This is my first post in a Steemit contest, all thanks to @steemitblog for giving Newbies like myself an opportunity to be involved in programs like this particular one and also to be able to learn from steemians with more experience on this Blockchain. I am entirely new to the cryptocurrency world so this post will be the result of research I did on the subject matter "Huobi".

A look into Huobi

Huobi, known as the ‘digital asset exchange’ is headquartered in Singapore and was founded by Leon Li, a former Oracle engineer in 2013. Huobi is one of the top 5 biggest cryptocurrency exchange based on volume traded daily with other offices in Japan, USA, Hong Kong, Mainland China, Indonesia, Argentina, Thailand and Korea. Huobi trades $9,759,752,268 in volume with over 190 coins and tokens in over 800 traded pairs.

Account Opening Process in Huobi

Creating an account on Huobi is determined by which of the country of residence but the predominant exchange to create an account in is the Huobi global. Creating an account can be in two ways, either via email or via phone numbers

First, select the country of residence after which you fill in the email which you want to register with in the required place followed by the preferred password, there is a place for referral which allows referees to earn income on referrals after which you click to agree to the user agreement then click on the sign up button. Be sure to verify that you are not a Bot.

A verification code would be sent to your email address if you are signing up with an email, you should check for the verification and input it into the verification box.

The account is then successfully created and now you can start trading on Huobi but your account will be limited to a lot of things such as amount that can be withdrawn and many more unless you further verify the account.

Personal Verification

Keeping your account safe is one of Huobi's priority so to further verify the account, one must link a 2 factor authentication to the account. The 2 factor authentication might be linking of phone number or linking of an authenticator.

Other means of logging to Huobi exchange can be through Facebook account, Google account or Apple account.

After doing this, Users can verify ID by submitting a few personal information such as Valid ID number (Passport number, driving license number and other legal ID number), First Name and Last Name, and the photo of the ID (not blurry, showing the name of the account holder as well as not covering it with anything).

Never create an account on any exchange without having a 2FA to authenticate activities

Setting Anti-Phishing Code

A lot of scammers are known to send phishing links to people which gives them access to the funds of users in their wallet thereby defrauding them of their coins/tokens but with Huobi anti-phishing code, Huobi will send mails to you having the code at the top of it to verify that the mail was sent from a verified source. You are not to disclose the anti-phishing link code to anyone so as to keep messages as trustworthy as possible.

My Take On Huobi

Huobi is a reliable and effective cryptocurrency exchange just like other exchanges like Binance and Bitrex. Signing up on Huobi is very easy and there are several methods to sign up as well as sign in. .
