Duddingston Loch 🌊

in ilovenature •  4 years ago

I took this photo of Duddingston Loch during a Sunday wander with my wife. Arthur’s seat is an incredible site created by an extinct volcano system that was later shaped by glaciers. It is my favourite walk in Edinburgh and provides a bird’s eye view of one of Europe’s greenest cities.

My wife is afraid of heights, so Queens Road (where I took this photo) is a much safer option, as it sits approximately halfway up the side of the 822ft Arthur’s seat. It offers great views of Duddingston Village, the North Sea, Fife and beyond.
