Little Things in Life Matter - Macro & Depth of Field

in imageskills •  6 years ago

I was just wondering how little and insignificant I am when considering the whole scheme of life and existence. Human beings, themselves are not even relevant when considering numbers. Insects out numbers us ten to one in this world. This world itself is nothing but a tiny speck hardly visible when we consider the solar system. And our solar system would be almost invisible when we consider the milky way galaxy in which our world exist. Yet little insignificant things do matter for those are all we see and interact with on daily basis.

Look at the tiny insignificant weed at the back of the house. They provide food for the herbivores. They provide us with vital oxygen by their photosynthesis. They prevent soil dehydration and prevent erosion.

So let's not look at those little things in life as unimportant. Everything has a role to play in the scheme of things.

These set of macro pictures are of such weeds yet they exude beauty and I present them for today's @juliank macrophotography challenge and @imagestudio contest of depth of field.

All pictures taken on my Nikon D60 with 18-55mm lens set at 55mm and a macro lens adapter attached.

Thanks @lynncoyle1. I will do that.

It is a very beautiful photo with completely focused on the stamens of the flower and the unfocused background with very nice soft colors.
Wonderful! 😊
