When they call them invaders, what they are telling you is that they intend to treat them the way invaders should be treated. Every social and political convention that we have tells us that invaders should be met with violence, expulsion, elimination, and even death. This is the price of embracing Trump and trumpism. It is conditional. It's not enough to just pay lip service to it and wait. To be deemed sufficiently loyal by Trump, you have to embrace violence against immigrants. The moral justification and the moral necessity of violence against them.
And when somebody actually visits violence on members of an immigrant community—a future spree shooting or pipe bomb, or other hate crime—these people will put their hands gently on their chests and speak in the tones of shocked, righteous indignation and look at you and say HOW DARE YOU when you suggest that they share any accountability for the violence.
Fuck the Republican party. Fuck Trump, fuck trumpism, fuck the new white nationalism, fuck xenophobic violence, fuck you if you support any of these things, and fuck the GOP's enthusiastic embrace of these things.
