I'm a visible minority and I'm against illegal immigration

While US President Trump takes a hard line on illegal immigration, liberal media outlets are attempting to pit visible minorities as supporting illegal immigration. In reality, many 1st generation immigrants and immigrants who used the legal system to arrive in Canada or the US are against illegal immigration.

Being a first generation Guyanese Canadian (born in Canada) and more importantly, a rational person, I can’t support illegal immigration, nor should anyone. By supporting it you’re eroding the legal system (which is a long and arduous process, but it’s doable).

Hence, if you support illegal immigration, it would be irrational to support the legal immigration path. It would be irrational to believe in borders because support of illegal immigration denigrates the importance of national borders.

You would think this is obvious to most people, but…

In the US there’s a strong push by progressives to support illegal immigration. But that’s only because the Trump administration is clamping down hard on illegal immigration. And Trump is only doing so because the previous Obama administration turned a blind eye to illegal immigration.

It’s not rocket science to connect the dots and see the patterns.

Democrats in general turn a blind eye to illegal immigration in the hopes of getting more votes and keeping themselves in power. Of course, most politicians only act in self-interest to keep themselves in power and their ideologies as the defacto ideologies to be spread across the world.

Is Trump’s implementation of clamping down on immigration going too far? Yes. But separating children from a parent is the norm when the parent breaks a law. And yes, illegal immigration is…illegal, something that progressives and liberals in general tend to forget on their righteous crusade to save the family unit.

And this is ironic because most liberals don’t believe in the family unit/family values. Most are just atheists in their own world of self-interest and without genuine eternal love or purpose in their life. Obviously, I’m being too harsh, but you get the point.

Amazingly, even the separated families are suing the US government for trauma:

https://www.cnn.com/2018/09/06/health/separated-families-children-mental-health-lawsuit/index.html

Suing for trauma is understandable. But there wouldn’t be any trauma if these “undocumented” immigrants didn’t break the law and come to the US illegally.

Just so we’re clear, undocumented means illegal. Progressives and liberal media outlets in general use the term “undocumented” instead of “illegal” in order to fool American voters and paint illegal immigrants as “victims” of the system.

And yes, the immigration system is more or less broken in the US (and Canada for that matter), but illegal immigration is not the answer. Instead of turning a blind eye to illegal immigration, progressive and liberal advocates should take their grievances to congress/parliament.

Illegal actions in the name of one’s ideology is close to anarchy, not democracy or the rule of law.

Civil disobedience is one thing. Crossing a border illegally with your children and not expecting any serious negative consequences is just irrational.
