Imposition (original poetry)

Reading notes: I feel alittle background is important here. This poem's theme is compartmentalization, particularly because it pertains to the "quest for Truth." It discusses however, in our worry of the grotesque, disturbing, and troublesome aspects of reality, we have a tendency to destroy our ability to dwell in perfection and wholeness. It conjointly should do with concealing faraway from and condemnatory "other people" for barbaric acts and qualities rather than taking personal responsibility for all aspects of one's existence. Usually, I like better to not give reading notes, however as this piece could be a bit darker (and because the irrational worry of the dark is extremely current in western society) i assumed it compassionate to produce some context. within the future i could or might not do that on similar items. Please weigh in with a comment below and let Maine know!

Stares of the others
Were felt till they
Covered my tongue,

Smothered by fur,
Halfhearted humanoids
Ravenous with want.
.
Crust of information
Was my den from
Barbaric sensations.
.
Through pursuit of peace
I ran the race of horror;
I sought-after escape in bright shadow
& was unfit by error.

The vile state of affairs
I couldn't face was
A glorious rose.

The bloodshed I condemned
Resounded chimes &
Starry hymns.

In the darkest of the dark,
In the hell i might not hearken,
In the suffering that I fled,
I killed all wholeness in my head.
