Starting from the bottom

Hi, everyone.

I recently started watching "Breaking Bad" (because I had some spare time with me), and to be honest for a long time I felt it too slow. The plot was taking too much time to develop and not many actions were taking place. However, after the second season when it really started to set in it got interesting and I realised something from that. I realised how important the foundation work is.

The same goes with our own lives. We are so eager to jump up the hierarchy that we just ignore the initial steps. Hence, we fall and we fall hard. This was not the first time when I realised that. A few months back one of my colleagues pointed the same and told me he was working on his basics and building the foundation again as he didn't do it when he was actually supposed to do it. I didn't quite understand it then, but I can say I do now.

The base of anything is as important as the thing above it. You cannot expect something big to stand on poor legs (If you are really thinking of making that big thing do anything).

The point is, in this information age where every second we are bombarded with millions of notifications and alerts about who knows what, we forget about the preparation and try to jump in the race right away. We fear to be left behind. What good is it bringing to us anyway?

The point being the same, you can't expect to be great and make a mark in this world without correcting yourself straight from the bottom to the top.
