#ImprovizChallenge — this is still a small community of people who improvise. In this post I want to thank the guys who participated in the competition. Join us with your improvisation! Let's make music together! If you want to participate, use the tag: improvizchallenge
Participants Overview
Stream of Consciousness - Improvisation
Just an improvisation on my cigar box guitar. Sometimes good riffs for actual songs can be discovered by improvising. This is also a good way of warming up and getting familiarized with the fretboard.
The Moonshiner's Still - Original Music
Here's a song that started out as a jam on my six string cigar box guitar. Later I added percussion via my Roland Handsonic. Some of the drums include a variety of cowbells, gongs and a standard drumset. Towards the end of the song I added a lead electric guitar on my home made knotocaster with Lace Sensor pickups.
The overall feel of the song reminded me of a hidden away moonshine still up in the mountains where no one can find it. Thanks for listening :-]
El Curandero - Original Music
Here's an improvisation that started out on a log drum that was given to me for free. This wooden tongue drum is close to key of Eb. I built a couple more percussion tracks around the log drum via some wood staves and a small shaker. I also added a suble clapping track. Later I added my baglama saz as the lead strings along with a synth cello on Miroslav Philharmonik. Towards the end I added my home made electric guitar with some delay and reverb.
The overall feel of the song reminds me of a shaman preparing some kind of mixture. Hence the name El Curandero (the witch doctor/healer in Spanish)
Thanks for listening :-)
Rose Room — Guitar + Clarinet
by @gulia.peito
Rose Room — A wonderful jazz standard that we recorded with our friend clarinettist. Thanks to the friend for the enthusiasm with which he charged us. It was a cool jazz evening.
Black Orpheus — Jazz Guitar with Improvisation
by @gulia.peito
Black Orpheus is one of my favorite jazz themes. I played the theme and pleasant improvisation, and then returned to the theme again.
Hello, Dolly! — Jazz guitar improvisation
by @gulia.peito
One of my favorite jazz tunes. I hope I managed to convey the old swing atmosphere.
Thanks all for support!
I really enjoyed your first two videos.
