A little boy was walking along the beach with his little sister, he suddenly noticed that she had fallen behind: the girl was standing in front of a toy store and looking at something with great interest. The boy walked up to her and asked: do want something? The girl pointed at a teddy bear. The boy took her by the hand and they entered the store. The boy ask the shopkeeper: how much does the teddy bear cost? The shopkeeper answered: how much can you pay? The boy showed him some sea shells that he had collected on the beach. The shopkeeper began to count them as if he was counting real money. The shopkeeper took four shells and returned the rest. The boy joyfully placed the shells in his basket, and the happy children returned home. The shopkeeper was asked: why did you give away such an expensive toy for just four sea shells? He answered with the smile: for us, these are just shells, but for the boy they are very valuable. Right now he doesn’t understand what money is. When he gets older, he will remember that he bought a toy with shells instead of money. He will remember my good deed and want to be a good person himself and then there will be even more kindness in the world.
