BMW Motorrad has finally launched the much awaited G 310 R and G 310 GS bikes in India. These entry level performance bikes are priced at Rs 2.99 lakh / USD 4500 for the R naked and Rs USD 5300 for the GS touring version.
I rode these bikes a few days back and keeping the price aside, the two machines offer a great riding experience. The naked R has shorter gearing (smaller tyres) which makes it a hoot to ride in traffic.
The larger GS is apt for both city commutes and taming the hills like Ladakh. It also gets a larger fairing, luggage rack, longer travel suspension and dual purpose tyres
What do you think about these small machines?
These are all mean machine

Nice.. But it would be good if you shared more on your riding experience like torque, pick up, firing, comfort for long rides, etc.... Looking forward for an update

Thanks man.
Hmm, the R still has rivals but by default, the GS has no competition : the Himalayan is underpowered, half as reliable and less features, whereas the Versys is too expensive. Hence, the GS makes sense. Expensive, but worth it I say
