More than 20% of India’s land under forest cover and close to 600 National parks and Wildlife Sanctuaries.
Forest of India are the home for the various species of plants,unique reptiles, beautiful birds,wild animals and tribes peoples. Indian forest are the unexplored wealth of Indian wildlife. The Royal Bengal Tiger,One-horned Rhinoceroses and the most dangerous snakes “King Cobra” are few endangered species found in dense forest of India.
In some parts of India the sacred forests exist and are worshiped by the tribal peoples of India. Different types of forests in India are evergreen forest, deciduous forest,thorny forest,tidal forest, coniferous forest and Dry forest of Rajasthan.
All the conserve dense forest are converted into the National parks,the Jim Corbett national park is one of famous nature park in India.
