India's stand on pro-Pakistan Turkey tightens, first Modi's visit canceled, now advice to tourists not to go

PM Narendra Modi canceled the proposed Turkish tour at the end of this month. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had opposed India on the Kashmir issue in the United Nations meeting held in September.

India has taken a tough stand on Turkey supporting Pakistan in the United Nations General Assembly on Article 370. First Prime Minister Narendra Modi canceled the tour of Turkey, now the Ministry of External Affairs has issued advisory advising Indians to avoid visiting Turkey. The situation in Turkey is very tense due to attacks on Kurdish targets in northern Syria.

A big hit on Turkey's economy

Please tell that this will be a big hit for Turkey's economy because about one lakh 30 thousand people go to Turkey from India every year. This figure is increasing year after year. Between January and July this year, the number of Indians visiting Turkey has increased by 56 percent. In this sense, it is a big shock for Turkey.

PM Modi also canceled his visit to Turkey

Earlier, PM Narendra Modi had canceled the proposed visit to Turkey at the end of this month. Turkish President Rijeb Tayyip Ardoआनan had opposed India on the Kashmir issue in the United Nations meeting held in September. Not only this, but he also supported Pakistan during the meeting of the Financial Action Task Force in Paris.

This would have been Prime Minister Narendra Modi's first visit to Turkey for bilateral talks. He was scheduled to visit Turkey after the Mega Investment Summit in Saudi Arabia on 27–28 October. With the cancellation of Ankara's tour, it is clear that relations between India and Turkey are at a low level. There has never been a very cordial relationship between the two countries. In this visit of Prime Minister Modi, there was a proposal to discuss trade and defense between the two countries.

Preparations to shock Turkey and Malaysia also in business

Significantly, the central government has also decided to ban imports from Malaysia and Turkey for having an opinion against India on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir. Government and industry sources say India is considering limiting the import of palm oil from Malaysia. Apart from this, restrictions can also be imposed on the import of many other products. A government and a source related to the recent meeting of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in this regard has confirmed such planning.
