in india •  7 years ago

The media and social networks have caused unnecessary FUD among crypto lovers in India yesterday with RBI's announcement.
Lets be clear about one thing, INDIA HAS NOT BANNED CRYPTOCURRENCIES.
It has only banned those organizations and entities under its control from transacting in crypto and providing services to individuals or groups who deal in cryptocurrency.
Since no banks in India transact or deal with crypto "directly" this need not have much affect.
With regards to individual transactions please check your transaction details when you withdraw or deposit INR In you online wallet. There is no mention of cryptocurrency anywhere.
Before panic selling DYOR. Please read and reread the announcement.
