Traveling with dreads in Mumbai

This is a short story and my first one on Stem :)
It happened a couple years ago, while I was in a working trip on India, I went to Mumbai to take a training for one week. I hear things and advices of how to manage there, but I got a kind of shocked at the begining, been a latin american guy I was used to see diferent images of cities, but Mumbai really shocked me, but with the days, I get used and started to like it.
So the training was over, I had one weekend before come back, so I went to a touristic place, the cave island.

At arrive to a kind of port, where was a nice big gate, that it was a defense point in the early times. A lot of people, sellers and photograpers at every step offering to take photos and so on.
After a whilea, a guy comes ask me to take a photo, but it was not a photographer, just a regular guy. And the photographer said: "He only wants a picture with you, no cost for you". So I just smile, and take the picture.
After that a lot of people started to take photos with me, and made that during a long period.
It was a different experience, I asked several guys why was that, but I couldn't get a clear response. I guess that been a 30 yo male, latin, with long dreads in Mumbai, was something they were not used to see :)
