Hello dear
you know,joy of the life doesn't depend on money so first of all change your mind on this and listen what your heart says "the low volume but the loud voice which keeps on telling the real truth about yourself " listen to that and respond to that voice. Every living thing on this planet knows what they really want from life but we humans are a bit strange,sometimes we try to ignore our inner voice and we take that as confusion. Don't do that just listen to your heart and do whatever that inner buddy wants. Sing(THE MOST),do some sporty,adventure.

Just walk on any road and see the surroundings and talk to yourself about all those things you observe let start a talk with yourself,go to anyplace see what is happening,how's the nature playing,what is going on in the society and respond to that everything has a taste, you need to test all those sweets and spices of life....just go and Dance in rain,breathe the breeze,see the sunrise and sunset,the moon in night,the stars,the clouds, the birds,all these things ignite some thoughts may be emotions, feel those emotions and respond the way you feel peace that is the joy of life it doesn't need money. Listen to your heart buddy that little thing knows everything which give you joy.

I'm trying to figure this out, but it can be hard when society drills "money makes you happy" into your head.

You're not always going to be happy even with money, so I suppose just think of that. Something that makes a person the most content is working on something you love.

I'm only 21, but I've made the mistake of thinking "everything will be alright", or "I just want to be happy". Those two thoughts just end up paralyzing me when things go wrong.

I've been thinking lately that the best way to stay content with your life is to do two things: admit things can go wrong at every stage in your life, (regardless of wealth) so prepare; and that working on things you love will lead you to a more positive mindset.

Not realizing that you have enough as it is, and going around and around collecting things, money, and possessions over experiences, love, and moments is a sure way to miss out on life’s calling and on being truly happy with what you have.

People grow up believing that they are not enough, and that they don’t have enough (money, or things), when they are so lucky to have been born (1 in 400 trillion chances).

Have you ever read the story of the fisherman and the investment banker? It is about valuing life for its simplicity over living it in the far future. I would totally encourage you to read it because it is one parable that has truly changed my life for the better.

I actually wrote about the story of the fisherman but also about a lot more on the subject in the post titled How To Enjoy Life More (Tips On How To Enjoy Your Life Today). Hope it helps you out.

So, in short, money is NOT everything. It’s important to survive, but you really just need a little bit of it to have a good life. Enjoy your time now, because that’s really all you have.

I tried to write a small poem "Little Things" based on this idea.

Little things give birth to the best moments of happiness.

Happiness that doesn't fade away like the fading colours of flowers;

Happiness that lighten you up from within,

And brings an instantaneous smile on your face;

Happiness that fills you up with an indefinable energy,

That for a moment, makes you feel so weightless,

That for a moment, makes you forget all the frills of life.

Those little things are free,

And yet they are priceless.

Watching the kittens play,

Swatting and wrestling with each other;

Standing in the rain,

And savouring every drop of it;

Getting up at dawn before the whole world,

Attending to the chirping birds breaking the sheer silence,

As the first rays filter through the trees and touch you;

Sitting beside a calm lake in the evening,

And watching the sun slowly sliding past the horizon;

Setting off for a solo trip to the mountains,

And spending the night among the hills,

Gazing the stars in the clear night sky;

The Hug from a close friend,

After you meet after a long interval.

Happiness from these little things are beautiful,

For not something temporary as the materialistic happiness;

Rather they are everlasting,

Because those little things are not things.

You need money for almost everything in daily life. Having said that,I believe there are ways to enjoy life at least for a short period of time without money provided you have the basic needs of life met -food,shelter and clothing. As I don't know what all things excite you and provide you the enjoyment,I am stepping into your shoes and giving my sources of enjoyment.

I go outside and enjoy nature.

I enjoy solitude thinking .It will tell me what is what and who is who .I learn from my own thoughts

I observe people and study them.

I read newspaper and books

I write my thoughts

I talk to people whom I like and admire.

I share my thoughts with others who are willing to absorb new thoughts -it could be verbally or non verbally

I talk to intelligent and wise people,learn things from them.

Well I think the most obvious answer is to spend time with friends, family, loved ones. This doesn't have to cost any money, just sitting, chilling in the kitchen and having a chat can be the the happiest times of our lives.

No friends? no family? no loved ones? no problem, get yourself out into nature, enjoy the fresh air, enjoy the trees, the grass, the sun (or the rain) look at the wildlife, wonder about how it all began etc etc

There is just so much to explore and love out in nature, we just don't do it enough.
