India: Buying & Selling Bitcoin With Paxful

in india •  6 years ago

Indian users have a decent number of options for trading in and out of Bitcoin. We're not limited to the handful of exchanges that are operating via p2p methods. Paxful.com is one such place that provides a number of ways to buy and sell bitcoin.

You can buy and sell Bitcoin via Bank transfers, Debi or Credit cards, Gift cards are also accepted, even cash deposits for your OTC trades along with Digital currencies/alt coins and other Online transfer methods are also valid on Paxful.

They even sport a dedicated page for Indian users owing to a decent demand from India. You can find that here.

The volumes are obviously not as good as some Indian exchanges, the alternative ways of buying/selling without ID verifications make it useful to use Paxful as it can help connect you with other buyers and sellers.

As their website, "If you are a buyer you are 100% protected. We verify and check all of our sellers for your safety. Pay with confidence, 2-factor, escrow, highest level encryption and professionally audited security."

According to Paxful their wallet features include a peer to peer marketplace where they claim to have over 1200 vendors. Low commissions and various payment options makes it quite lucrative to use them. So there are many ways to store and maybe spend your Bitcoins.

It's important that users from India know how to utilise all available options for trading Bitcoins. There's no need to worry about government because you can choose to opt-in to services that require ID or use services that allows you to trade without such requirements.

Cryptocurrencies have made it possible for the money that you own to be truly yours and not of your government.

If you have traded with Paxful in the past, please provide some feedback of the same in the comments below. If you are aware of other platforms for trading INR/BTC then the comment section is yours. Let us help bring Indian users to the world of cryptocurrencies.

I want to move my portfolio to Koinex since coindelta is closing down

Oh damn. I hope you are able to move your funds out of there in time.

You said that buyers are 100% protected against fraud. Maybe they lock the amount of the bitcoin of the seller and transfer it to the buyer when the payment proof is submitted?

As I can see very few platforms are operating smoothly in India and most preferred are WazirX and CoinDCX.
