I've seen so many people getting hyped up and raising their hopes about the government of India changing their stance on implementing the crypto ban draft bill on social media today. It's ridiculous how people fall for this!
Jio deploying nodes for their blockchain solution has no correlation with cryptocurrencies being regulated in India. They have not built a cryptocurrency or tokenised public blockchain solution nor are they offering any major incentives to the users such as earning tokens or anything.
It's hilarious watching people here losing their shit, getting hyped up over Jio's blockchain deployment. This has nothing to do with cryptocurrency that we deal with day-to-day. If you ever wondered why India hasn't built mass surveillance capabilities similar to the US or China, take these developments as a hint of things to come!
Don't get your hopes too high for the govt changing their views over banning cryptos simply because of this news. Rest is up to you to figure out. Just my two sats.
